Alex Carter (born November 12, 1964) is a Canadian television and film actor who protrays as Lou Vartann in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

Early life

Carter was born Alex Apostolopoulos in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He attended Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute as well as Wexford Collegiate Institute. He lived in the Wexford community of Toronto (Scarborough) and, then left for Hollywood where he studied at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. He is divorced and the father of three children.
